Registered Representatives of Broker-Dealers (also called investment specialists or private placement consultants) help investors conduct due diligence on a project by evaluating a potential project’s risks and rewards, job-creation predictions, offering documents, and compliance with securities regulations. Their diligence process includes reviewing documents, visiting project sites, and verifying information provided by developers.

While not mandatory, investors who engage a private placement consultant benefit from having advisors to address questions and navigate any complexities during the investment process. Additionally, investors who communicate with issuers or developers through a Broker Dealer gain leverage in understanding critical questions, obtaining answers, and ensuring adherence to project documentation terms and conditions.
